Network Connectivity Troubleshooting on an iPhone or an iPad

Forget the Network to reset the configuration

If you encounter problems connecting to a Wi-Fi network even if you managed to successfully connect to it before, chances are, the password has changed and you may need to reset the configuration on your device related to that specific network. You can do this by getting your device to "Forget the Network" and then set it to connect once again, following the usual procedures when one connects to a new Wi-Fi network. Here are the steps you can follow if you are using an iPhone or an iPad.

1. First of all, see to it that the Wi-Fi on your device is turned on.

2. Open the Settings on your device.

3. Tap on Wi-Fi.

4. Look for the SSID of the Wi-Fi connection you wish to reset (e.g., Uappy-Fi) and tap on the "ⓘ" icon.

5. Tap on the text that says Forget This Network.

6. A window will pop out prompting you if you really want to Forget the Network, tap on Forget.

7. Go back to your W-Fi settings and try to connect to the same Wi-Fi SSID once again. You should be prompted to type in the password.
